I began my artwork in August, 1999, after taking two semesters of ceramics in collge. It was then that I discovered the artist in me waiting to come alive. My artwork is truly unique. The pottery I create is handthrown, hand painted with my original designs. My Cherokee/Choctaw heritage plays a big role in the designs form my creations.
Creating has been a journey of self discovery, listening to the clay and creating what's in my mind's eye. I continue learning, experimenting, evolving, and developing my artistic talent. I devote my time, energy and soul into my earth walk as an artist. Having recently moved from Southern Utah to beautiful Colorado, I am continuing this artistic journey, drawing inspiration from my new surroundings.
I create usable art that is unique and beautiful. I feel truly blessed to have been given this opportunity to create what I see in my mind's eye. I throw from my soul, inspired by my surroundings and thank the Great Spirit daily for being able to do something I truly love, create.
